30 DAY DISNEY CHALLENGE | DAY 1: YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER

megara: megara has been my favorite for such a long time. i love how different she is compared to all the other disney female leads. she’s brave, smart, witty, and confident throughout the entire movie. i don’t think she gets enough credit for being a positive role model for girls and too many people just type cast her as a ‘slut’ which couldn’t be further from the truth. the quote that sticks with me the most is when she tells herc ‘you know men. they think yes means no and get lost means take me i’m yours.’ it’s so sad how society has taught men this and when i was little, i didn’t understand it, but now that i’m older i can’t help but be like bravo. though i’m not sure if disney meant this as a comment on society or just another male bashing comical moment for the adults. either way meg is amazing and i wish she would get a bit more credit where credit is due.
